When applying for a Schengen visa please select the destination you will be staying in for the lengthiest time as you will be required to submit an application to the consulate of the country you will be staying in for the longest duration.

Each applicant is required to submit application in person. Malta visa application form. For online orders, please download, print and sign Malta visa application, prepared by our system under your account.

Original, signed China passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity.

Passport Photo: 2 Include a passport style photo, with a white background, taken within the last 6 months. You may also choose to upload a photo to your order for us to print. There is a surcharge associated with this service.

Itinerary. A confirmed two-way air ticket reservation issued by an airline or authorized travel agency. The ticket should only be bought after the visa has been issued. When applying for a multiple-entry visa please provide the reservation for the first entry.

Proof of accommodation. Proof of accommodation (hotel reservation, proof of ownership or rent a house on behalf of applicant) or, if applicable, the commitment of maintenance and accommodation filled and signed by a person from Malta.

Travel programme. Documents providing clear evidence about your travel programme (booking transportation, itinerary, etc.).

Medical Insurance. Minimum coverage 30,000 EURO, for medical costs and medical repatriation, valid in all Schengen countries during the whole validity of the issued visa.

Proof of solvency. Proof of solvency of the applicant: bank statements from the last 6 months, no deposits.

Family book. One (1) copy of the family book with every page included.

Previous trips. Documentation on former travels abroad; if relevant an old passport should be attached to the application.
Visa applications should be submitted for a maximum of 6 months, and no later than 15 days, before the trip.

For employees:
• A copy of the business license of the applicant’s employing company with the stamp in original of
the company.

• A letter from the employer (in English, or in Chinese with English translation) on official company letterhead with stamp, signature, date and clearly mentioning:
- the address, telephone and fax numbers of the employing company,

- the name and position in the employing company of the countersigning officer.

- the name of the applicant.

- the applicant’s position, salary and years of service and approval for leave or absence.


For retired persons:
• Proof of pension or other regular income.


For unemployed adults:
• If married: Letter of employment and income of the spouse and notarized certificate of marriage, legalised by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

• If single / divorced / widow / widower: any other proof of regular income.


For minors (under 18):
• Student card and an original letter from the minor’s school, mentioning the full address and telephone number of the school and granting permission for the student’s absence. The name and position of the person giving the permission should also be included.

• Minors traveling alone or with one parent: notarized certificate of permission to travel from both parents or legal guardians (when the minor is traveling alone) or the parent or legal guardian not traveling (if the minor is traveling with one parent) legalized by MFA.

• If not in China, legalized by the relevant authorities in the country of residence. Notarised certificate of family relation or proof of guardianship, legalized by MFA.
