From 12 October 2015, all applicants must come to Visa Application Centre of Latvia (or mission) the first time they apply for a visa. In the following 59 months applicant can leave application without visiting the Visa Application Centre.

Fill out Lithuania tourist visa application form online

and send the following documents to VisaHQ:

Visa Application Form. Fill out, print and sign the visa application form (if minor, signed by either parents or legal guardians). Note: 2 signatures (3 for MULT visa applications) per applicant are required on the fifth page of printed visa application (top and bottom).

Passport or other travel document and one copy of the identification page. Travel document must be valid at least 90 days after the expiration of visa and not older than 10 years. Travel document must have at least two consecutive blank pages. Damaged travel documents cannot be accepted.

One color photograph with the following specifications: passport type, light color background, 45mm ×35mm, dating from the last 6 months.

Proof of Status. Valid residence permit/legal Chinese visa of foreign applicants.

Travel programme. Documents providing clear evidence about your travel programme (booking transportation, itinerary, etc.)

Flight Reservation. A confirmed round- trip flight reservation. The ticket should be bought only after the visa has been issued.

Travel medical insurance. Travel medical insurance, original or one copy of the certificate. Handwritten certificates will not be accepted. The name of the insured should be written also in pinyin. Travel insurance must be valid in the Schengen area and for the entire duration of stay in the Schengen area. The insurance must have minimum coverage of 30.000 euro and cover costs of any emergency medical treatment and repatriation for medical reasons as well as in case of death repatriation of the deceased. For single entry visa, a signed declaration of insurance should be enclosed.

Original “Hukou”. With photocopies of all the pages (only for Chinese nationals).

Proof of accommodation. For the whole duration of the intended stay. Notes: documents must cover the whole stay in Schengen area. For example: hotel bookings, rental apartment contracts, etc.

Proof of solvency of the applicant.
• Original bank statement from the last 3 months, balance: 40 EURO/day within the destination area, no deposits account.
• Proof of the solvency of the employing/inviting company, if the company pays the costs of travel and living; OR
• Proof of the applicant’s personal solvency, in case personally covering the costs of travel and living.
Visa applications should be submitted for a maximum of 6 months, and no later than 15 days, before the trip.

The required documents have to be translated into English or Lithuanian in a separate document according to the instructions below.

For minors (under 18):
Student card & Original letter of the school mentioning:
• Full address, telephone number of the school
permission for absence
• Name and function of the person giving the permission
• Notary Certificate (legalized by MFA) of the family relation between the minor and his/her parents or proof of guardianship.

If travelling alone: Notary certificate (legalized by MFA) of permission to travel from both parents or legal guardians and a copy thereof.

If travelling with one parent or legal guardian: Notary certificate (legalized by MFA) of signed permission to travel from the non-travelling party and a copy thereof.

If the non-travelling party resides abroad, travel permission must be notarized by the authorities in the country of residence.


For employees:
Sealed copy of the business license of the employing company.
Employment certificate (in English, or in Chinese with English translation) on official company paper with stamp, signature, date and clearly mentioning:

• Address, telephone and fax numbers of the employing company.
• The name and position of the countersigning officer.
• The name of the applicant, position, salary and years of service.
• Approval of leave or absence.


For retired persons:
Proof of pension or other regular income.


For unemployed persons:
If married: Letter of employment and income of the spouse and notary certificate of marriage, legalized by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

If single/divorced/widow/widower: Any other proof of regular income.
